We recorded over two nights in late January 2020 at the Cafe Carpe in Fort Atkinson, WI. I flew to Mexico two days later to immerse myself in another culture. A few days after my return in late February, the realization of the pandemic hit, and our worlds paused. This is not only a record of two nights sharing music in a sold-out listening room. It’s also a love letter from the past and a hand extended from a future when we can all once again commune with each other over music, art, food, spirits, sports – or to just feel the embrace of human not in your COVID bubble.
